Forests of Arasbaran are located in the northern part of East Azarbaijan with 140000 hectares in area and it is a region enclosed between Aras river in north, Syahrood and Kiamaki Mountains in north west, Iskanlo and the beginning of Moqan field in north east, towns of Kaleibar, Harand and Ahar in the east ad the towns of Varzegan and Kharvana in the south. The natural landscape, special plants, wild and intact nature, historical forts, old buildings and churches are of the attractions of these forests. To reach these forests, various entrances exits, the famous of which are Ainalou forests.
